Terms
Last updated 30 August 2026.
These terms apply when you use SafeTap Kids at safetapkids.co.uk. They should be read with the Privacy notice. They are not legal advice. Nothing here takes away a consumer right you have under UK law.
The service
SafeTap Kids is a web service that lets a finder contact a parent when a tagged item is found. An NFC chip or QR code holds only a short web address. Contact details stay on the server under the parent's control. This is not a live tracker, not a location device, and not an emergency service.
Accounts
Parent accounts are for adults. You must use an email address you control and a password of at least 12 characters that includes a letter and a number. You are responsible for that account. We may refuse or close an account that is used to abuse the service.
Acceptable use
Do not interfere with other people's tags, scrape the service, send abusive finder messages, or use the service for anything unlawful. Public contact numbers you publish are your responsibility.
Tags and hardware
A tag is a physical object. After you delete your account the public page shows that the tag is no longer active and hides contact details. We do not warrant that a finder will return an item. Replacement, loss, and disable behaviour is described in the product.
Liability
The service is provided as a recovery aid. We are not responsible for lost items, a finder who does not contact you, or a chip that is damaged or overwritten. We do not exclude liability that UK law does not allow us to exclude, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page will change when we do.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer you may also have rights in the place where you live.
